I have lived in the city of Memphis for 7 years.

That being said, I have only started to explore areas outside the town in which I live and go to school in within the last couple of months.

For the first time, I’ve visited restaurants and shops and holes-in-the-wall in Midtown, been to St. Jude’s for the 5K last month and the Bass Pro Pyramid while downtown, learned more about different religions first-hand through Quaker and Mormon services around town, and attended Beale Street Music Festival, Cooper Young Festival, and Pride Festival.

I say this not to brag but to prove a point: THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO MEMPHIS THAN I REALISED!
